Meet the Editor
Meet B e v v Beirl, Editor-In-Chief
B e
v v Beirl, Editor-In-Chief , is an energetic
catalyst who has successfully woven the Tampa Bay Area
together through service projects. Her strong dedication
to self-development has rewarded her with respect from
some of the most influential residents in the Bay Area
and across the country.
A
proud Ohio State Buckeye, her degrees in
education/psychology led her to her soapbox to promote
success visioning and self-development.
In the late 80’s B e v v recognized a need for hospitals
to enter the wellness arena. She proposed, obtained the
funding and acted as the coordinator for Morton Plant
Hospital’s wellness program that has gone on to be one
of the largest in the Tampa Bay Area.
After earning a martial arts black belt, she went on to
form a non-profit personal safety program, SAGE, Inc.
SAGE was awarded a three-year grant from the Department
of Health for rape prevention. During those three years
B e v v and her trainers empowered over 10,000 women in
the Bay Area with the Be Your Own Bodyguard program.
Once again
B e v v recognized a serious need; to raise the
awareness of domestic violence and though her unwavering
dedication and commitment brought the Bay together in
the Friend Across the Bay fundraising event.
B e v v has served on the Board of Directors for PACE
Center for Girls, a Florida non-profit. She is currently
a member of the Believing in Girls Foundation of PACE.
As an expert in self-development and with a keen
awareness for human potential, B e v v has been featured
on television, radio and print media many times. She has
authored several regular media columns in newspapers,
public magazines and corporate trade magazines.
B e v v and her husband, Brian, of 18 years, have
resided in the Tampa Bay Area for nearly 30 years.
Although their home is in Pinellas County, their
16-year-old daughter attends high school in Tampa. With
a presence on both sides of the Bay, B e v v is proud to
call the entire Bay Area her home.
